Tasks for Sheets (Google Tasks)

Create Google Tasks from spreadsheet rows — due dates, notes, write-back

google taskstodoimportbulkdue datespreadsheet
Create Google Tasks straight from spreadsheet rows. Map a title column (plus
optional due-date and notes columns), pick a destination task list, and click
Create tasks — each row becomes one task in Google Tasks, where it shows up in
Google Calendar, Gmail, and the Tasks mobile app.

WHAT IT DOES
• Task-list selector — choose any of your Google Tasks lists as the destination,
fetched live from the Tasks API.
• Column mapping — a required title column plus optional due-date and notes
columns, addressed by letters (A, B, C…) or 1-based numbers.
• Real due dates — a date in the due-date column becomes the task's due date, in
  your spreadsheet's time zone.
• Notes — copy a notes column into each task's body.
• Header-row toggle — skip the first row when it's a header.
• Write-back — an optional output column receives the created task id per row, or
"ERROR: …" when a row fails.
• Resilient — rows without a title are skipped, one failure doesn't stop the rest,
and a final toast reports created vs. failed counts.

GREAT FOR
• Turning a planning or backlog sheet into real, trackable tasks.
• Bulk-loading action items with due dates from a spreadsheet.
• Keeping a sheet in sync with Tasks via written-back task ids.

WHY IT BEATS MANUAL ENTRY
Sheets has no native bridge into Google Tasks — you'd copy/paste each row by hand
and lose the structure. This carries due dates and notes across, writes task ids
back, and creates many rows in one click, continuing past failures.

FREE & PRO
• Free: 50 tasks/month.
• Pro: unlimited task creation. 14-day full trial.

Privacy-first: reads only your ACTIVE spreadsheet (current-file-only scope) —
never all of your files. The tasks scope is sensitive but not restricted, so no
CASA hurdle. Responsive support and regular updates.
